Chapter 08: Shocking! A Man Returns Home from Work to Encounter This Scene

Qin Yu was getting a headache from this situation. He had no desire to intervene in this messy, tangled affair.

Seeing no response from Qin Yu, the other party bombarded him with video calls, irritating him further. He simply cut off his WeChat account, finally achieving some peace and quiet.

He wanted nothing to do with either side of this matter. As he neared his rental apartment, he quickly turned off his phone’s flashlight and shoved it into his hoodie’s middle pocket. Hands coolly in his pockets, he prepared to head upstairs.

Just as he opened the door and was changing shoes in the entryway, a jarring sound reached his ears.

A man’s passionate moans.

“Ah, ah, ah! Gentler… mmph!”

The other person responded with a low, angry growl, then increased the pace of his thrusts. Their bodies collided frantically, producing rhythmic slapping sounds that would make anyone blush with embarrassment upon hearing.

The space was filled with a scent reminiscent of photinia1I don’t know what that is or what that smells like lol. Acc to Google, Photinia serratifolia (石楠), commonly called Taiwanese photinia or Chinese photinia is a flowering shrub or tree in the flowering plants family Rosaceae, found in mixed forests of China, Taiwan, Japan, the Philippines, Indonesia, and India. , impossible to ignore.

After all he’d been through, Qin Yu remained unfazed, his expression blank even as he changed his shoes amidst the sounds.

He rented in this old residential area through a shared arrangement.

From the first day of cohabitation, Qin Yu noticed something off about his fellow tenant.

While tidying up one day, he accidentally met the man’s gaze and found his look decidedly ambiguous.

After moving in and living together for a few days, Qin Yu grew wary.

All signs pointed to his roommate being gay as well, and judging by his habits and behavior, almost certainly a bottom.

The other wasn’t a fool either, and after a few days together, he, too, noticed something different about Qin Yu.

Both gay men and both adults, some things were better left unspoken to avoid mutual embarrassment.

Besides, Qin Yu and his co-tenant had different daily schedules. The other was still a junior in college, so they rarely crossed paths.

But today was the unfortunate exception. Due to a change in his shoot, Qin Yu got off work late. His roommate probably thought he wouldn’t be coming back to the apartment.

After all, it wouldn’t be the first time. The college student tenant bringing his boyfriend over for the night wasn’t exactly news.

However, tonight for some reason, these two youngsters in the throes of first love couldn’t resist getting it on in the living room. This is the first time Qin Yu has encountered this.

The living room was a shared space, and Qin Yu had to pass through it to reach his room.

Qin Yu glanced at his watch: 7:15 PM. Dinner time had just passed—surely they hadn’t only just started?

Should he take a step back, leave, and sleep on the streets until the young couple finished, then pretend he’d just gotten off work? Or should he take a step forward, ignore their steamy scene, and head straight to his room?

Qin Yu hesitated for a moment, listening to the commotion in the living room. He finally decided to act nonchalant and walk past when their reactions weren’t so intense.

But he misjudged again. Just as the sounds seemed to slow down, Qin Yu put on his slippers and walked toward the living room, feigning composure with a blank expression.

The two on the sofa startled like frightened animals. The unfamiliar man atop the other sprang up from the sofa, straightened his back, and glared at the newcomer with hostility.

Qin Yu awkwardly averted his gaze. To be fair, this “stranger” wasn’t entirely unfamiliar. His college student roommate had brought his boyfriend over for sleepovers before, and Qin Yu had coincidentally seen him, so the face was somewhat familiar.

The sofa barely concealed anything. The unfamiliar man was shirtless, unabashedly baring his chest. Sweat trickled down his skin, and faint scratch marks on his back hinted at their passionate encounter.

It was clear that his roommate was still pinned beneath, unable to explain the situation.

The stranger had worn that hostile expression from the moment Qin Yu appeared in his line of sight.

The person beneath him seemed uncomfortable, whimpering and shifting slightly in displeasure.

Qin Yu had no interest in watching others’ intimate moments. The instant he met the stranger’s gaze, he affected an air of indifference, averting his eyes and walking straight to his room at the end of the living room hallway. Unlock, open, enter, close, lock—he executed the sequence fluidly, in one smooth motion.
