Chapter 10

When Mu Weiyun returned home from work, he found someone crouching at his doorstep. The person spoke in a gloomy voice, “Military Advisor, let me stay at your place for two nights.”

“What’s wrong with you!” Mu Weiyun jumped in surprise. “Why are you suddenly crouching here? Weren’t you meeting God Gu today? What happened, did he dump you?”

Shen Qingyan stood up and stared at Mu Weiyun. “Heh.”

Mu Weiyun felt his scalp tingle at that laugh. He carefully said, “Well, as they say, there are plenty of fish in the sea. We can find someone better.”

“It’s not that,” Shen Qingyan knocked on the door with complicated emotions. “Let’s go inside first.”

Mu Weiyun’s tired corporate slave heart instantly perked up. “Alright, you can tell me everything slowly.”

Sitting on the sofa, Shen Qingyan said seriously, “I can tell you everything, but you have to promise not to laugh.”

Mu Weiyun was puzzled. “What’s there to laugh about? Just tell me.”

Five minutes later, Mu Weiyun burst into thunderous laughter. “Hahaha, are you guys crazy? No, wait cough cough let me catch my breath.”

Shen Qingyan looked at Mu Weiyun resentfully. “See? It’s funny, right? Turns out I’ve been in a one-sided love all along.”

“Well, at least God Gu falling in love with you at first sight was real,” Mu Weiyun said with a smile. “Marrying into a wealthy family isn’t that simple. Just think of it as going through tribulation.”

Shen Qingyan couldn’t take it anymore. “Is this how you comfort people? Some military advisor you are.”

“Hey, I’m just being indignant on your behalf!” Mu Weiyun finally stopped laughing. “At least you were happy these past two years, right? The one who suffered was God Gu. He thought you hated him.”

Shen Qingyan was speechless. “This relationship worked purely because of my imagination. No wonder. Even someone dense wouldn’t give money and houses as gifts. So those were compensations.”

“Looks like someone’s calling you,” Mu Weiyun gestured with his chin. “It’s God Gu, right?”

Shen Qingyan hung up. “I don’t want to deal with him right now. I’m deeply hurt.”

Mu Weiyun: “…What a mess. Fine, stay at my place for these two days.”

When Shen Qingyan wouldn’t answer calls or messages, Gu Yunjue became extremely agitated. Something occurred to him, and he went straight to find Li Xun.

When Li Xun saw who came, there was a hint of reproach in his eyes. “Well, what brings you here, Yunjue?”

“Li Xun, did you find Shen Qingyan and tell him you would be with me?”

Gu Yunjue’s directness stunned Li Xun. He quickly recovered, “I was just joking with him. Haven’t we always been together?”

Li Xun’s response was met with Gu Yunjue’s fist.

“Gu Yunjue! Have you gone mad!” Li Xun fell to the ground from the punch. He struggled to stand up, tasting blood in his mouth. “You actually hit me because of Shen Qingyan?”

Gu Yunjue said coldly, “Li Xun, don’t appear before me again. You disgust me.”

“Hey!” Li Xun was furious. “What right do you have to do this? If I’m going to die, at least let me know why!”

Gu Yunjue ignored him completely and left without looking back.

Li Xun was disgusting, but what about himself?

Just as disgusting.

Still, Shen Qingyan was his, and no matter what, he didn’t want to let go.

No matter how much Shen Qingyan didn’t want to see Gu Yunjue, he had no choice.

After all, he still had an unfinished thesis and needed materials from the library.

“Qingyan, can we talk?” Gu Yunjue looked at Shen Qingyan uneasily. “You didn’t come home yesterday. I could only hug your clothes. I couldn’t sleep all night.”

Shen Qingyan was furious. “Who gave you permission to sleep with my clothes?”

“But Qingyan,” Gu Yunjue gave a bitter smile. “Don’t you also keep my clothes on your bed? And that pajama you’re wearing. It’s mine, isn’t it?”

Shen Qingyan’s face turned red. “Why are you bringing this up? We’re still fighting!”

Gu Yunjue’s eyes lit up. “Then, then I won’t disturb you for now.”

Just fighting, not breaking up.

Shen Qingyan: “?”

Wait, what drama was Gu Yunjue acting out by himself now?

Shen Qingyan snapped, “Where are you going? To find Li Xun?”

“How could I possibly go to him?” Gu Yunjue panicked. “I taught him a lesson last night. He won’t dare show his face to us again.”

Shen Qingyan’s expression turned strange. “Weren’t you childhood friends?”

“Not really. I used to study at a boarding school,” Gu Yunjue shook his head. “We only met twice a year, just a few times each. We only got slightly closer after he got into the same university.”

Shen Qingyan was displeased. “Why are you telling me this? What’s it got to do with me?”

“Qingyan, I just want to tell you,” Gu Yunjue smiled bitterly, “I have nothing to do with him. I was wrong at first, and when I realized my mistake later, I ran away because I was afraid to face you.”

Shen Qingyan was so angry he wanted to poke Gu Yunjue’s head. “So you went abroad for two years, just waiting for me to graduate before coming back?”

Gu Yunjue stayed silent, tacitly agreeing.

“Gu Yunjue, you’re really something,” Shen Qingyan sneered. “Move aside, don’t block my way. I need to go to the library.”

How could someone be so self-centered? Two years ago this guy was just a freshman, but he thought he was some overbearing CEO, playing sugar daddy!

Shen Qingyan was so annoyed he directly blocked Gu Yunjue’s phone number.

So annoying.

Mu Weiyun never expected that he would end up being not just Shen Qingyan’s military advisor, but Gu Yunjue’s as well.

“You haven’t made up with Qingyan yet?” Mu Weiyun asked carefully. “Actually, I think it’s just a misunderstanding between you two. This is fate.”

Gu Yunjue: “…Aren’t you Qingyan’s friend? Why aren’t you cursing me on his behalf?”

“Well, I’ve taken your money, haven’t I?” Mu Weiyun’s eyes wandered. “After all, I ate quite a bit of that 800,000 you gave Qingyan.”

Gu Yunjue choked. “Senior, can you help me? I truly like Qingyan. If he can forgive me, I’ll do anything you ask.”

“That wouldn’t be right,” Mu Weiyun looked at him nervously. “I can help you, but not for anything else. It’s for Qingyan.”

Gu Yunjue stared at Mu Weiyun intensely. “Then what should I do?”

“It’s simple,” Mu Weiyun said seriously. “If you like Qingyan, then pursue him. This time, pursue him sincerely.”

Gu Yunjue nodded. “And then?”

“Then,” Mu Weiyun hesitated, “don’t you have those ropes and stuff at home? Use them on yourself to seduce Qingyan. He seems to… quite like that.”

Gu Yunjue’s expression went blank. “Okay.”

Mu Weiyun pressed his lips together. He had to give himself a pep talk to hold back his laughter.

Otherwise, this guy’s previous actions could make him laugh for years.

Shen Xiao Yan, Mu Weiyun sighed, this is as far as your military advisor can help.

Shen Qingyan noticed that Gu Yunjue seemed to be pursuing him.

From his perspective, this was quite strange, since he and Gu Yunjue had been dating for two years.

Even though it was one-sided dating on his part—

“Oh, Junior, what game are you playing with your boyfriend?” Even his advisor’s students found it funny. “Is this your romantic reunion? He’s guarding you every day, making us all jealous.”

“Wait, hold on,” a senior picked up the card from the flowers Gu Yunjue gave Shen Qingyan. “Qingyan, did your boyfriend write this wrong? ‘Please go out with me?’ Is this some kind of roleplay?”

Shen Qingyan twitched his lips and said helplessly, “He’s pursuing me.”

Everyone: “…Uh, couples these days really know how to play.”

Outside the Art Building, Shen Qingyan looked at Gu Yunjue, who was waiting at the entrance, with dissatisfaction. “It’s been a week, aren’t you done with this act?”

Standing there every day, following him around. With so many bottoms eyeing him hungrily, Shen Qingyan almost laughed from anger.

“Qingyan, when will you come back home? It’s not good to keep bothering Senior Mu,” Gu Yunjue’s tone was quite pitiful. “Come back tonight, okay? I’ll cook three dishes and a soup for you.”

Shen Qingyan was stunned. “Why three dishes and a soup?”

“Because I only know how to cook three dishes.”

Shen Qingyan suddenly remembered how he used to brush off Gu Yunjue with talk about housekeeping. He said awkwardly, “Just hire a housekeeper, you don’t need to cook yourself. That’s what I used to do.”

Gu Yunjue: “…Huh?”

“I’ll come back tonight!” Shen Qingyan gave a light cough. “Stop bringing flowers! Who goes to class with flowers every day? It’s so embarrassing!”

Before Gu Yunjue could react, Shen Qingyan had already run away.

“What does he mean by housekeeper?” Gu Yunjue muttered. “Could it be that all those meals before were—”

Gu Yunjue smiled. “Qingyan is so cute.”

In the Art Building’s bathroom, Shen Qingyan held his head. “Oh no, oh no, why did I mention the housekeeper? Whatever, Gu Yunjue ate it anyway. I should think about what he’s going to say tonight.”

Even if you twisted off Shen Qingyan’s head, he wouldn’t have imagined what he was about to see.

The bed was covered in roses – pink, red, white, blue…

What stunned him was the person on the bed.

Gu Yunjue lay there, his hands and feet bound, his mouth and eyes covered.

There was a line written on his abs.

“Shen Qingyan’s exclusive property?”

Shen Qingyan’s face turned red. “What are you doing?”

Gu Yunjue whimpered, spreading his legs slightly, revealing another line of text.

“I’m giving myself to you. Qingyan, forgive me.”

Shen Qingyan’s mind exploded. His breath hitched as his blood boiled.

This was the epitome of sensual beauty.

The next day, Gu Yunjue held Shen Qingyan in his arms, his earlobes still red. “Qingyan, did you enjoy last night? Are you still sore?”

Shen Qingyan’s body trembled, his face full of grievance. “Get away from me! I haven’t forgiven you yet!”

“That won’t do,” Gu Yunjue kissed Shen Qingyan’s lips. “Please forgive me. I can play with you every day, whatever you want to play.”

Shen Qingyan’s heart raced, but he remained stubborn. “We’ll see. When I’m satisfied, I’ll consider forgiving you.”

“Okay.” The corners of Gu Yunjue’s eyes and brows were filled with smiles. “Qingyan, I’ll make sure you’re satisfied.”

“By the way, you barely touched the food I made last night,” Gu Yunjue said resentfully. “I worked hard learning to cook for you, because you’re so good at cooking. I wanted to make the same for you. I never thought you were using a housekeeper service.”

Shen Qingyan didn’t want his heart to flutter. He poked Gu Yunjue with a red face. “Who told you to act like some CEO and make me cook? I can’t cook, so I had to make do. You can force me, but I can’t trick you?”

Red-faced Qingyan is so cute.

Gu Yunjue kissed the top of his head and curved his lips. “So we’re perfect for each other.”

While autumn lingered outside, inside was filled with the warmth of spring.
