Gu Zeyu’s family had no Omegas. From his father to his twelve brothers, all were Alphas. Alpha rut periods were infrequent, occurring only two or three times a year. Thanks to their scientist father’s research into AO genetic structures, their family had access to the highest-grade suppressants in the Alliance, allowing nearly painless injections with no side effects.
But even that slight needle prick was too much for the delicate Gu Zeyu. That’s why his eldest brother could trick him into marrying Lu Yunian with the flimsy excuse that an unsatisfied rut would be more painful than an injection.
Now, an Omega completely consumed by heat, eyes blazing red and nearly irrational, shouted at Gu Zeyu, “Get out!”
Gu Zeyu couldn’t possibly leave him to suffer.
Gu Zeyu’s body temperature was chronically low. Embracing Lu Yunian now was like a volcano melting into an icy sea. His weak Alpha pheromones enveloped Lu Yunian like a warm winter current, miraculously soothing his agitation and fury. Gu Zeyu was just an ordinary Alpha, but he was like a perfect remedy for a terminal patient – common ingredients with extraordinary efficacy.
He simply wrapped his arms around Lu Yunian’s neck, his soft body pressed against him, and Lu Yunian’s eyes regained some clarity. Looking directly at Gu Zeyu, he said, “Run now, while you still can.”
Gu Zeyu found this version of Lu Yunian amusing, like a starving Shih Tzu reluctant to gnaw a bone. As pheromone transfer through the air was too slow, Gu Zeyu imitated Lu Yunian’s previous kiss, pulling his head down and using his tongue to exchange saliva, transferring more Alpha pheromones.
Lu Yunian’s reason snapped completely. He even felt a flicker of annoyance. Wasn’t Gu Zeyu supposed to be an idiot? How could an idiot be so seductive? During his absence, what kind of harassment were those AOs reporting about Gu Zeyu?
Lu Yunian flipped Gu Zeyu beneath him, panting as he stripped off his clothes. Gu Zeyu thought he wanted skin contact to cool down and even arched his back cooperatively. He had never smelled Lu Yunian’s pheromones before. Now, in the cramped confinement room, even suppressant patches couldn’t contain the intense pheromones. When Lu Yunian tore off the patch, exposing his nape gland, the room filled with an intoxicating aroma that made Gu Zeyu dizzy.
It was rum-scented. Gu Zeyu felt drunk; just the smell sapped his strength. Lu Yunian suddenly realized he couldn’t take the lead. He flipped onto his back, exposing his muscular physique and taut body lines, and barked, “You do it.”
Gu Zeyu was too intoxicated to understand, his eyes barely open. Confused why the pleasant kissing had stopped, he whined, “No need, no need. You’re doing great, keep going.”
Lu Yunian wanted to continue but feared he might end up topping Gu Zeyu. His heat-addled brain was blank except for Gu Zeyu’s eldest brother’s words, “When you sleep with Xiao Yu, he must be on top. Gu Zeyu has had a blood clotting disorder since childhood. Any bleeding could be life-threatening. You’re the Omega, he’s the Alpha. This situation can’t be reversed.”
He had seen when he stripped Gu Zeyu naked earlier – the man had a small nose, small mouth, and small face, but where it mattered, he was surprisingly large. He even suspected Gu Zeyu’s doctor brother had swapped in an elephant’s penis. How it ended up on Gu Zeyu’s body, he couldn’t fathom.
Lu Yunian actually felt a bit of Omega-like grievance. During their kiss, Little Gu had stood at attention, its size and length impossible to ignore. He never imagined marrying such a weakling Alpha, let alone having to guide that weakling’s penis inside himself.
Gu Zeyu was dumbfounded. As Lu Yunian slowly lowered himself, Gu Zeyu felt a crushing, near-death sensation. Though Lu Yunian’s weight wasn’t on him, just the sight made him cry in fear. Trembling, he grabbed Lu Yunian’s ankle and shook it, saying, “Can we die another way? I haven’t digested the egg tarts I just ate. They might get squeezed out.”
But when Lu Yunian slowly engulfed Little Gu, Gu Zeyu let out a pleasured moan, gripping Lu Yunian’s waist to keep him from pulling away. Their pheromones began to surge and intertwine. Lu Yunian felt both embarrassed and annoyed at his own initiative, especially seeing Gu Zeyu’s blissful expression. Angry, he cursed, “Can’t you f*cking move? Didn’t you drink milk…”
Little Gu slipped out… The useless thing had gone soft in fright…
Lu Yunian and Gu Zeyu locked eyes. The Omega’s top-tier pheromones began to explode. Gu Zeyu didn’t know what he’d done wrong, but clearly, Lu Yunian’s anger meant he must be wrong. He lowered his head, not daring to make a sound, even stifling his tears.
Lu Yunian’s anger deflated. He struggled to his feet, gathering his scattered clothes and putting them on piece by piece. His voice hoarse, he told Gu Zeyu, “Forget it. I’ll go get a suppressant.”
As he spoke, Gu Zeyu didn’t move. As he dressed, Gu Zeyu still didn’t move. As he reached the door to leave, Gu Zeyu remained motionless.
Lu Yunian suddenly realized something was wrong. The Alpha pheromone concentration in the air was rapidly rising, completely overwhelming his rum scent. But it wasn’t Gu Zeyu’s sweet milk smell either. There was an indescribable fishy odor.
He turned back to check on Gu Zeyu, who had curled into a tiny ball on the floor, knees drawn up and head buried between them, looking like a sea snail. His fair skin had turned bright red, and the pheromones gushing from his gland were so intense that Lu Yunian couldn’t even muster the strength to speak. He reached out to touch Gu Zeyu’s nape, which felt as if it had been scorched by fire. Feeling Lu Yunian’s touch, Gu Zeyu slowly raised his head to look at his Omega.
A pair of sapphire blue eyes, without pupils, as pure blue as glass beads in the sea, stared back at him.
Lu Yunian finally realized that his powerful Omega pheromones had triggered the Alpha’s rut. Now it wasn’t just he who needed suppressants, but Gu Zeyu as well. He picked up Gu Zeyu’s coat and draped it over him, touching his cold cheek and forcing himself to speak gently, “The medic has Alpha suppressants. I’ll go get some for you.”
As he turned to leave, the curled-up Gu Zeyu grabbed his ankle. Frost covered both his legs, freezing him in place. With just a light tug, Lu Yunian found himself flat on his back on the bed. He watched as his Alpha slowly rose from the floor, rubbed his temples, then stood before him. Looking down with a cold smirk, Gu Zeyu said, “Why bother with suppressants when there’s a ready Omega right here?”
