In this era of lightning-fast internet speeds, teenagers had far too many channels to access information.

Most AO kids had secretly watched AO porn online by the time they were eighteen, or even before their secondary gender presentation. Coming to a museum for sex education seemed incredibly outdated.

The museum had gathered dust not long after its establishment, with very few visitors.

But since it was built with a substantial budget, both the government and the Omega Protection Association had put in considerable effort to promote it.

The models were incredibly detailed and the content was genuinely comprehensive. Even the photonic equipment’s only non-military application was used in the 3D experience hall’s pleasure simulation device.

    It was indeed well-made.

Yet despite this, the public’s opinion of the museum could be summed up in one word: “outdated.”

People’s confusion about the museum’s existence was similar to their bewilderment about why the ugliest design proposal would always be the one chosen by leadership.

Sometimes when something was too old-fashioned, it crossed into a strange territory of being somewhat erotic.

So quite inexplicably, the 3D museum had long lost its educational purpose and had become more like a borderline adult entertainment venue.

But since it was built in such a conspicuous location, no one would choose to come here instead of watching porn at home, except for some couples in the heat of romance looking to flirt.

In short, anyone who came to “visit” such a place alone would definitely be seen as a weirdo.

Of course, Xia Shiruan, a newly presented Omega, knew nothing about this.

He walked out of the museum on shaky legs, feeling as if he had just woken from a dream.

As if a door to a new world had been opened, he had never known such a bizarre place existed on Earth, and it had been located not far from his home all along.

Ignoring the slight awkwardness, the experience hall’s educational value was undeniably impressive. After just twenty minutes of the whole process, Xia Shiruan was no longer the same person he had been yesterday.

    He had learned many things.

Under the blazing sun, Xia Shiruan felt thirsty and decided to buy a cold drink.

The simulator could even automatically simulate Alpha pheromones, so that robot had emitted a grapefruit scent.

According to statistics, it was the Alpha pheromone most widely accepted by Omegas.

Xia Shiruan thought he might try unsweetened grapefruit tea when buying his drink.

A group of young men walked out of the nearby department store.

Luo Zhou was looking down at his phone when someone suddenly pushed his shoulder.

“Look over there, isn’t that the top student?” Huang Yun pushed his shoulder, directing him to look toward a drink shop.

Luo Zhou looked up. “Huh? Where?”

“Right there, I just saw him coming out of the museum.”

“What museum is around here…” Luo Zhou quickly realized and his expression became complicated. “You mean that… 3D sex education museum?”

Huang Yun made a sound of agreement.

Luo Zhou found it strange. “He’s alone? What’s a Beta doing there? Tch, he doesn’t seem like someone who’d go to that kind of place. You must have seen wrong.”

“Who knows.” Huang Yun sneered, thinking of how Xia Shiruan always had that aloof expression like he was above everyone else. He mocked, “We don’t know what kind of person he is in private. Maybe he’s different from what you think.”

There was another person standing behind them, wearing light gray casual clothes that accentuated his tall figure, making him stand out even among other Alphas.

Hearing their conversation, he lifted his gaze to glance at Huang Yun and Luo Zhou, asking, “Who are you talking about?”

Huang Yun quickly said, “Oh, just a classmate from our lab… Never mind him. Little brother1, let me treat you to a drink.”

Xie Ji showed no reaction to being called “little brother.” He just gave a noncommittal hum and said “okay” while turning off his phone.

On the other end of the line, Chen Rongxin had been going on and on about seeing Xia Shiruan on the subway today, emphasizing Xia Shiruan’s tone and expression when he said “it’s Xie Ji who stopped looking for me.”

Xie Ji felt his anger rising, but being in front of others, he couldn’t show it. He could only suppress it for now and deal with Chen Rongxin later.

When his face was expressionless, his features appeared sharp, with his narrow eyes downcast, making him seem unapproachable.

Luo Zhou had been secretly observing him for a while, noticing how Huang Yun’s words were full of flattery toward this Alpha who was even younger than himself. Knowing this person must be significant, he didn’t initiate any conversation.

Now, Luo Zhou finally said, “Huang-ge, how come you haven’t introduced us? Who is this?”

“Oh.” Huang Yun glanced at Xie Ji with a somewhat proud expression. “This is my little brother, Xie Ji. He’s about to start his freshman year at our university, in the Military Engineering Department.”

Then he turned to Xie Ji and said, “This is my classmate, Luo Zhou.”

Xie Ji nodded at Luo Zhou in greeting.

Luo Zhou’s expression had already turned respectful at the mention of Military Engineering. After a moment’s pause, he said, “Military Engineering, that’s impressive.”

The Particle Physics and Military Engineering departments at Science University were two unique and prominent institutions among domestic universities.

If the Department of Particle Physics represented the nation’s brightest minds, then the Military Engineering Department was where descendants of today’s most powerful families gathered.

Three hundred years ago, a mutation had allowed those classified by their pheromone intensity to quickly occupy the heights of power and wealth.

As time passed, their influence expanded and was passed down generation after generation to offspring who successfully inherited superior genes through AO unions.

These descendants, except for those who studied abroad or entered other fields, mostly chose Military Engineering at Science University, paving a green path into the nation’s most advanced military industry.

The two departments were like two different worlds: one gathered golden carps just half a step away from leaping through the dragon gate, the other filled with heaven’s favorites who were born at the finish line.

To say they got along well would be unlikely.

But once they enter university, most kept such thoughts to themselves.

Moreover, the Military Engineering students would likely become the future superiors of these engineering experts from the Department of Particle Physics, so some networking wasn’t uncommon.

Huang Yun was one of those who was particularly adept at navigating these social dynamics.

Two years ago, he met Xie Ji, who was still in high school then, at a debate competition in S City. After learning which family’s Xie he was, Huang Yun had actively asked for his contact information.

Knowing Xie Ji would come to C City for university, Huang Yun had been trying to meet up with him since the break started, but he only succeeded today.

Unfortunately, after meeting up, this young master seemed somewhat dismissive of them. He barely spoke and constantly checked his phone.

While waiting for milk tea, Huang Yun tilted his head to peek at his phone screen and asked with a smile, “Waiting for someone’s message? Girlfriend? Boyfriend?”

Xie Ji smiled slightly and said, “No.”

    “No messages? Or no girlfriend?”

    Xie Ji said, “Neither.”

Luo Zhou, who had been standing nearby, cut in, “Really? How could an Alpha like you not have a girlfriend?”

Xie Ji just smiled faintly without responding.

Originally, Xie Ji didn’t want to come.

He and Huang Yun were just acquaintances. They rarely communicated on social media. When he received the invitation, his first instinct was to decline, but somehow he remembered that this person seemed to be in the same department as Xia Shiruan.

Luo Zhou and Huang Yun chattered in his ear the whole way.

Indeed, those who could enter the Department of Particle Physics at Science University were no ordinary people. At least Huang Yun’s skillfully crafted compliments to Xie Ji, woven naturally into his various insights, didn’t feel forced, and Xie Ji found them rather intriguing.

But he had heard such words too many times since he was a child, and their purpose wasn’t hard to discern. When Huang Yun casually mentioned winter break internships, Xie Ji smoothly changed the subject, saying it was too early to discuss.

When dinner time came, Huang Yun received a call about some people drinking, and asked if Xie Ji wanted to join. Xie Ji declined.

“Alright then,” Huang Yun said goodbye, “Let’s meet up another time.”

Xie Ji lifted his chin slightly, put his hands in his pockets, and turned to get into the car that had come to pick him up.

The moment he sat in the car, his expression darkened.

He made a call, and as soon as it connected, he launched into a tirade. “Why the fuck did you have to mention past things in front of Xia Shiruan?”

“…” Chen Rongxin was stunned by his outburst, taking a while to realize what he meant before weakly saying, “What? You never said we couldn’t mention it?”

After processing it, Chen Rongxin didn’t feel he had done anything wrong and fired back, “Fuck, why are you yelling at me? What did I say? I just asked why he stopped hanging out with you, what’s wrong with that?”

Xie Ji closed his eyes briefly, suppressing his rage before asking, “Where are you?”

    “What do you mean where?”

    “Asking where you’re out partying.”

Chen Rongxin was still huffing, “At my family’s bar. Don’t you dare come here, I’m telling you. I’ll have people stop you, they won’t let you in.”

Xie Ji let out a mocking laugh, dropped a “just wait” and told the driver the bar’s address.
