YPSSS Chapter 16
by RaineAfter realizing what was happening, Xie Ji’s hands moved faster than his brain. sing the arm that Xia Shiruan had wrapped around him, he hoisted him up, half-carrying, half-embracing him out of the private room.
The remaining Alphas inside were left staring at each other in confusion. Huang Yun’s jaw practically hit the floor.
Liu Yutong nudged his arm and said, “…Xia Shiruan wasn’t kidding when he said he couldn’t drink. How did he get so dizzy after drinking so little? And that junior, do they know each other?”
Xie Ji had been in a hurry to get Xia Shiruan out, but once they were outside, he started to feel something was off. Wait, this was Xia Shiruan. Why should he care about him?
Xie Ji stared at him for a few seconds and ultimately attributed his actions to his conscience not being completely dead yet.
Drunk Xia Shiruan was different from his usual self.
His face was deeply flushed, the startling pink color extending below his not-so-high collar. Through the gaps, Xie Ji could see the smooth skin of his back. Even through the thin fabric of his clothes, Xie Ji could feel the obvious warmth against his palm.
While taking out his phone to call his driver, Xie Ji freed one hand to pat Xia Shiruan’s face. “Xia Shiruan, open your eyes.”
Xia Shiruan obediently opened his eyes.
Once they were out of the private room, away from the the messy mix of Alpha scents, the sweet fragrance from Xie Ji became more distinct.
Xia Shiruan had never found a scent so captivating before. That intoxicating sweetness was driving him crazy.
The call connected, and Xie Ji said, “Hello? Uncle Liu, please come to the left side entrance of the bar. Yes, right now-”
Before he could finish speaking, his voice took an unexpected turn, both surprised and angry. “Hey, what are you doing?!”
Xia Shiruan’s slender arms had somehow wrapped around Xie Ji’s neck, pulling him down. His head tilted, trying to reach the spot on Xie Ji’s neck where the sweet scent was emanating from, but he missed and ended up biting the side of his neck, leaving a small tooth mark.
Xie Ji hadn’t been paying attention and got bitten. Although the force was barely more than a tickle, it still startled him.
Xie Ji pushed Xia Shiruan away, touching his neck with disbelief. “Why did you bite me?”
Xia Shiruan murmured, “So sweet… Let me smell it…”
He was so close that the fine hairs on his face were clearly visible. His voice was almost inaudible as he spoke near Xie Ji’s neck, and Xie Ji could even hear him swallowing.
Xie Ji tried to push him away but didn’t dare use too much force. His voice was low and gritted. “Xia Shiruan.”
“Hmm?” Xie Ji was much taller, and when he stood up straight, Xia Shiruan couldn’t reach that spot on his neck. His breathing became rapid, and his voice turned hoarse and husky, carrying a hint of the seductive tone unique to an Omega in heat. “…Let me lick it.”
“…”
Xie Ji wanted nothing more than to take out his phone and record him like this as evidence.
Who would believe this was Xia Shiruan?
He used some force to push Xia Shiruan half a meter away and said stiffly, “If this is how you get during heat, how dare you drink with so many Alphas? Are you really not afraid?”
Xia Shiruan couldn’t possibly understand what he was saying now. His hands were unconsciously clawing at Xie Ji’s back, wrinkling his T-shirt.
Xie Ji restrained him with one hand while using the other to redial Uncle Liu on his phone.
When the Xie family car arrived, Uncle Liu was looking out through the car window and immediately spotted his young master standing by the road with a drunk, unconscious young man hanging onto him.
Uncle Liu was startled and quickly lowered the window, calling out from afar.
Xie Ji’s face was almost the same color as his T-shirt.
No matter what, he was still an adult Alpha, and a top-tier one at that. Even with enough suppressants, he couldn’t handle an Omega about to go into heat rubbing against him like this.
If it were any other Omega, Xie Ji would likely have thrown them to the ground, but this was Xia Shiruan.
Along with his annoyance, there was a tiny, inexplicable sense of satisfaction in Xie Ji’s heart.
“Young Master,” Uncle Liu said, barely daring to look at Xia Shiruan, “do you need help?”
“No need.” Xie Ji stuffed Xia Shiruan into the back seat and got in himself, then lifted his chin and said, “To Wutong Li.”
Wutong Li was C City’s famous wealthy district, where Xie Ji’s grandparents and the Xia family lived.
“Okay.”
The dark car smoothly drove into the night.
In the tightly closed car compartment, perhaps realizing there were other people around, Xia Shiruan finally quieted down and stopped moving around.
He leaned against the car seat, obediently keeping his eyes closed, as if he were a different person from the heat-affected, cat-like Omega from before.
After a while, Xia Shiruan’s head tilted slightly, seemingly unintentional yet as if searching for a more comfortable position, slowly leaning toward Xie Ji.
Xie Ji glanced down at him without moving, keeping his neck stiff as he allowed Xia Shiruan to gradually, bit by bit, inch closer until he was resting against his shoulder.
Xia Shiruan’s hair was soft.
Xie Ji’s throat moved as he breathed gently, watching Xia Shiruan’s hair flutter with his breath. Being so close, he could smell the faint woody fragrance emanating from Xia Shiruan’s body.
After a while, Xie Ji sat up and lowered the car window a small crack.
The spot on his nape where Xia Shiruan had bitten him was slightly itchy.
Hearing sounds from the back seat, Uncle Liu quickly glanced in the rearview mirror, gave a light cough, and teased with a smile, “Young Master, which family’s Omega is this?”
Uncle Liu had been the Xie family’s driver for over twenty years. He had watched Xie Ji grow up since birth. He had never seen his young master get close to any Omega before.
He was too young before, but now it was probably time for him to start showing interest.
Xie Ji remained silent for a long while before saying, “A former neighbor.”
Uncle Liu smiled and said, “He’s quite good-looking.”
Xie Ji raised an eyebrow.
Suddenly, a vibration sound came from Xia Shiruan’s backpack.
When it rang persistently for the second time, Xie Ji took it out of the backpack.
The screen displayed “Mom.”
Xie Ji held the phone and shook his shoulder, calling to Xia Shiruan, “Hey, it’s your mom.”
Xia Shiruan remained motionless against his shoulder. He did not wake up despite the movement, his breathing deep and steady.
Xie Ji gave up, thought for a second, then tried unlocking the phone using Xia Shiruan’s fingers one by one, and pressed the answer button.
“Hello? Auntie, it’s me, Xie Ji.”
“Yes, Xia Shiruan is next to me. It’s like this, he might be… in heat.”
Xie Ji quickly reached out to touch Xia Shiruan’s forehead and said, “No fever, he’s asleep. Mm, okay, alright, no need to thank me, it’s nothing.”
After hanging up, just as Xie Ji was about to lock the phone, a message popped up at the top.
Xia Shiruan hadn’t set up any detailed message privacy settings, so Xie Ji could see the message content clearly.
The message read: [Yi Junya: Xiao Ruan, I miss you~~~~ It’s the weekend, want to come play with me? I booked a room at XX Hotel, we can sleep together.]
Xie Ji didn’t know this Yi Junya person.
To be precise, he knew nothing about what friends Xia Shiruan had made over these years.
Like that Omega at the exhibition hall last time, and now this Yi Junya.
Xie Ji stared at the words “sleep together,” and frowned.
Then, he did something he despised himself for – he opened the message and slowly scrolled up.
Before he could read much, he accidentally clicked something, and a video popped up.
Xie Ji froze.
The first few seconds of the video were dark, but something about the scene felt familiar.
When he realized the shirtless man’s N-brand sports shorts looked increasingly like his own limited edition pair – of which only ten existed worldwide – Xie Ji started to catch on.
He decisively clicked the X in the upper right corner just before Xiao Xin’s familiar voice could be heard.
Xie Ji: “…”
He locked the phone with a snap, tossed it back into Xia Shiruan’s bag, and slowly turned his head.
Xia Shiruan was sleeping soundly against his shoulder, completely unaware.
His slightly chubby cheeks were squished up, his mouth slightly open like a little duckling.
The little duckling nuzzled against his shoulder, turning his head slightly, licked his lips, then contentedly snuggled closer to Xie Ji’s neck.
As if he was eating something delicious in his dream.
“…”
Xie Ji stared at him so intensely he could have burned a hole through him.
Xia Shiruan, who would have thought? You’re hiding quite a lot.
