Lu Heng, the chairman of XX Group and son of X City’s wealthiest businessman, possessed a net worth of hundreds of millions.
At only 26 years old, he suffered a fatal heart attack from overwork after pulling consecutive all-nighters due to his intense dedication to work.
In his moment of death, Lu Heng remained conscious.
He distinctly felt his soul being pulled away, entering a dark space where the real world appeared before him like a projection.
He watched clearly as he lay on the hospital bed, his mother weeping as she covered his head with a white cloth, while everyone around stood in silence with their heads bowed, expressions filled with grief.
But how could he die so simply?
He hadn’t yet reached the pinnacle of the world, hadn’t achieved his ambitions, hadn’t even earned his father’s approval.
How could he just… die like this?
Lu Heng stared at his own body, determination blazing in his eyes as he lunged toward it.
He had to go back. He needed to return.
Given another chance, he could do better.
…
…
“Hey, hey, that expression doesn’t look like you’re begging for mercy.” A male student’s mocking voice rang beside his ear.
As soon as the words fell, everyone around burst into undisguised laughter, their gazes boldly fixed on Lu Heng.
Lu Heng regained consciousness.
His gaze turned cold instantly as he glared at the person before him.
Within three seconds, he analyzed the current situation.
He should have been dead, but this clearly wasn’t where the dead belonged.
Transmigration? Rebirth?
He didn’t recognize any of these people, so transmigration seemed more likely.
And now, the body he had transmigrated into was being cornered by a group of male students.
The students wore casual t-shirts, and several wore matching ones that appeared to be uniforms.
Among them, the one in front of him seemed to be the oldest, although he was probably no more than twenty years old.
A strong smell of alcohol wafted over, making Lu Heng wrinkle his nose in disgust, only to realize there were other scents as well.
Alcohol, yogurt, pumpkin, grape, and even roses.
The mixture of various scents made him nauseous.
Lu Heng belatedly discovered something strange about his own body.
Despite finding these scents revolting, he inexplicably craved more.
His body grew hot, his head spun, his breathing quickened, his face burned, and he felt aroused.
Had this body he took over been drugged?
“That expression isn’t right either. Who told you to look like that?” The student standing before him spoke again.
He pressed himself almost entirely against Lu Heng, looking down at him with an overwhelmingly dominating presence.
Lu Heng could tell now that the strong alcohol scent emanated from this person.
Lu Heng maintained his expression, meeting the other’s gaze with dark hostility.
The student raised his hand to caress Lu Heng’s face, his fingertips trailing across it. “Who said you could glare at me like that, hm?”
“Xu He, don’t do this.” Another voice rang out, filled with concern.
Lu Heng looked toward the sound and saw a handsome young man standing among several others wearing matching white uniforms with blue trim. He was tall and fair, his features particularly striking among the uniformed students.
Xu He, the one who’d been called out, paused. His aggression calmed down slightly.
“Lin Yao, why are you still defending him?” Another uniformed student spoke up contemptuously. “Have you forgotten what he’s done? Breaking your pen during exams so you couldn’t answer, stealing your completed homework to get you punished by the teacher, and just today, on the first day of school, stuffing rotten garbage in your desk.”
Lu Heng: “…” How could this body’s original owner be so brainless?
Lin Yao pressed his lips together. “We’re not sure it was him…”
The uniformed student scoffed. “Who else could it be?”
Lin Yao: “But…”
“That’s enough, stop talking.” Without turning around, Xu He’s voice dropped to an icy low, his gaze on Lu Heng growing more terrifying.
Waves of alcohol scent poured out, enveloping Lu Heng like a blanket. His legs grew weak, and his inner desires intensified.
“Ha, Lin Yao, there’s no helping it now.” Xu He’s face bore a smile, his breathing growing rapid as his tongue traced over his canine teeth. “He’s in heat, and with such a strong scent, I can’t hold back.”
“…”
Xu He’s hand slid up Lu Heng’s cheek to the back of his head.
He yanked Lu Heng’s hair, forcing his head up, and leaned down to kiss him.
Lu Heng naturally wouldn’t submit to such treatment.
The oppressive aura around him overpowered even Xu He’s alcohol scent, his eyes pure ice.
He now fully understood the situation. The original owner had wronged Lin Yao, and Lin Yao’s friends sought revenge.
These little brats had drugged him and even dared to use disgusting words like “heat.”
None of them were normal.
Just as Xu He was about to reach Lu Heng’s neck, Lu Heng clenched his fist and swung it at Xu He’s chin.
Using all his strength, even as his hand bones ached, he heard Xu He’s bones crack.
The force threw Xu He’s head back, knocking out a tooth. Before he could react, Lu Heng’s foot struck his chest.
Xu He flew backward and crashed to the ground.
Lu Heng walked over to Xu He and stepped on his stomach. His worn sneakers exuded the dominance of leather dress shoes.
One step lower would have reached Xu He’s vital part.
“Even if I’m in heat, I wouldn’t stoop to finding a dog for relief.” Lu Heng looked down at Xu He coldly, grinding his foot in a half-circle on Xu He’s stomach. “Especially not a stupid dog reeking of filth.”
–
The surroundings fell silent, and those unpleasant scents dissipated somewhat.
Lu Heng’s body still felt strange, with his nape inexplicably burning hot, seeming to emit some colorless vapor.
Xu He, with his knocked-out tooth and bloody mouth, covered his face and groaned. After hearing Lu Heng’s words, his pupils contracted sharply.
“Fuck. This fucking…” Xu He cursed, grabbing Lu Heng’s ankle with his blood-covered hand. “You must be tired of living.”
The strong wine scent erupted again, assaulting Lu Heng, who pressed his lips tightly together and frowned.
Cold sweat broke out on his forehead, his shoulders feeling exceptionally heavy, as if pressed down by a mountain.
This was some kind of supernatural force…
“Fuck, Xu He, don’t…”
The other boys also showed pained expressions, their legs trembling as if it took great effort not to kneel.
Only Lin Yao seemed unaffected.
But as if guessing something, he stepped forward and advised, “Xu He, don’t go too far. Using pheromones like this is illegal.”
What were these “pheromones”…
Though Lu Heng didn’t understand, he could tell this world was different from his previous one.
Xu He was using something to suppress him, and his body’s condition wasn’t caused by drugs.
What Lu Heng hated most was being controlled by others.
Upon realizing this, his anger mounted. His nape grew increasingly hot.
He forcefully held his stance, glaring down at Xu He as if looking at garbage.
More vapor emanated from his nape, an intense lime scent erupting and instantly overpowering the sharp wine smell.
Xu He’s expression twisted, his eyes widening in disbelief. His hand trembled on Lu Heng’s ankle before finally releasing it.
Everyone around Lin Yao collapsed to the ground.
Lu Heng swept his cold gaze across them before looking down again, moving his foot lower. “I’ll give you two choices. Either get lost, or I’ll crush this part of you. Your choice.”
Lu Heng withdrew his foot and stepped back to watch Xu He.
Xu He stared at the sky, taking a long moment before propping himself halfway up, silently watching Lu Heng.
The earlier burst of scent had largely subsided, but Lu Heng knew his strange condition hadn’t improved.
He still felt an inexplicable craving, and the lime scent continued wafting from his nape.
All those mixed scents had vanished, yet he felt oddly disappointed.
The people around Lin Yao stood up, but Xu He remained motionless, creating a deadlock.
But soon, someone broke the stalemate.
“Hey, you guys…” Another male student ran around the corner, freezing at the scene before him. “What are you doing?”
Lin Yao was the first to react. “Yunxing? Why are you here…”
The student called Yunxing looked at Lin Yao and said, “I couldn’t find you in your classroom. I heard you were here, so I came over.”
“Jiang Yunxing, your timing is perfect. Any later and Lin Yao might have gotten beaten by Lu Heng.” One of Lin Yao’s companions regained his swagger upon seeing Jiang Yunxing, pointing at Lu Heng. “He threw garbage in Lin Yao’s desk drawer. We caught him and were going to teach him a lesson, but look what he did!”
Jiang Yunxing looked at Lu Heng, who stared back unflinchingly.
Strangely, although this boy sounded like he was with that group, he didn’t look it.
His expression was somewhat dazed, showing no disgust toward Lu Heng. Instead, as their eyes met, Lu Heng saw excitement in his gaze, like someone discovering new territory.
“Zhou Qi, you should talk less, too,” Lin Yao said.
His tone was heavier this time, making Zhou Qi turn away in displeasure.
Lin Yao walked to Xu He’s side, crouched down, and handed him a tissue.
“Xu He, I know you wanted to help me, but you went too far this time.” Though Lin Yao’s words were reproachful, his tone remained gentle. “Let’s end this here. Go about your business. I need to get lunch anyway.”
At Lin Yao’s words, Xu He’s attitude changed instantly. His hostility vanished as he took the tissue and pressed it to his mouth.
Xu He’s eyes focused solely on Lin Yao. “Then go eat… want me to join you?”
“No need. I bought food to eat in class. We have placement tests next week. I need to study.” Lin Yao smiled. “Don’t you need to return to the store? Say hello to grandma for me.”
Xu He: “Mm.”
He stood up, pressing the tissue to his bleeding mouth and brushing dirt from his stomach, as if nothing had happened and he hadn’t been humiliated at all.
Before leaving, he cast another glance at Lu Heng.
Lu Heng stood with folded arms, meeting his gaze coldly.
His body’s strange condition persisted, and the lime scent hadn’t fully dissipated. Lu Heng knew the scent came from himself.
He wasn’t an impulsive person and knew he couldn’t act rashly now. Lin Yao’s handling of the situation was acceptable to him.
He could temporarily store away Xu He’s final provocation, waiting until he better understood this world.
After Xu He left, Lin Yao and Lu Heng stood facing each other.
Lin Yao seemed to have words left unsaid, but before Lu Heng could speak, Zhou Qi spoke up from behind.
“Lin Yao, let’s go.” His tone and expression dripped with disgust. “Still pretending to be reserved while being in heat. It’s making me sick.”
Lin Yao pressed his lips together, lowered his eyes, and turned around without a word.
He looked at Jiang Yunxing, asking in the same gentle tone, “Yunxing, want to get lunch together?”
Jiang Yunxing seemed to just snap back to awareness, glancing between Lin Yao and Lu Heng.
“I… I’ve already eaten. You go ahead.”
After speaking, Jiang Yunxing looked at Lu Heng again.
His face couldn’t hide his thoughts, and Lin Yao quickly caught that glance, pressing his lips together slightly.
“Alright then.” Lin Yao smiled. “See you after school.”
Lin Yao and the other students left, leaving only Lu Heng and Jiang Yunxing in the corner.
Jiang Yunxing approached Lu Heng. Although he was wearing the same uniform, his build was considerably larger than Lu Heng’s, and he stood nearly a head taller.
Lu Heng watched him warily, quickly catching the tobacco scent on him.
High school students smoking was normal enough.
But how could a smoking high school student wear such an expression?
Shy, timid, yet excited and expectant, like a puppy waiting to be adopted.
It was precisely because of this expression that Lu Heng didn’t act when he approached.
Jiang Yunxing took something out. Lu Heng glanced down. It was a tiny syringe.
Lu Heng’s aura darkened once again.
“You’re… you’re in heat.” Jiang Yunxing seemed oblivious to Lu Heng’s change, speaking to himself. “Use this, do you know how? Just inject it into your arm…”
Before he could finish, Lu Heng grabbed Jiang Yunxing’s uniform collar, yanking him forward.
“Listen here, you.” Lu Heng narrowed his eyes, his voice ice-cold. “You’re too young to be messing around. Think drugs are something you should touch?”
Jiang Yunxing stared at Lu Heng, dumbfounded.
After a moment, he blinked repeatedly, his eyes suddenly reddening.
Large teardrops fell freely as Jiang Yunxing’s lips trembled. He tightly hugged Lu Heng, burying his face in Lu Heng’s neck.
Lu Heng: “…” What was this about?
“Wuu wuu…” Jiang Yunxing’s voice was muffled as he cried and spoke. “Wuu, did you… transmigrate here too?”

[Story Preview]
Seven years ago, Xu Yunshan acted impulsively and dated the person he hated most, Yan Ting.
The day after becoming official, he overheard his partner telling a friend — “Who likes him? It’s just for fun.”
After a fight that reached the principal’s office, this one-day relationship ended in failure.
Seven years later, Yan Ting became famous from one drama, rising to stardom as a celebrated actor. Meanwhile, he became just a poor makeup artist, buried in debt from family troubles.
Meeting again, their mutual hatred only intensified, yet they must work together as colleagues in the same production.
Yan Ting: Don’t get any funny ideas about me.
Xu Yunshan: Stay away from me outside of work.
–
That failed high school romance had deeply wounded Yan Ting’s pride.
Seeing Xu Yunshan again, Yan Ting had only one thought: make Xu Yunshan bow his head and kneel, calling him daddy.
If he couldn’t do it, he’d be a dog.
But Xu Yunshan’s personality seemed to have changed.
The once proud young master who looked down on everyone had fallen from grace. His already awkward personality has become even more difficult.
Until one day, he accidentally saw Xu Yunshan alone, curled up in a corner wiping away tears.
Xu Yunshan looked at him, eyes rimmed red yet crystal clear, stealing his soul with a single glance.
Forget it, Yan Ting thought.
Being a dog wouldn’t be so bad.
