MRSSG Chapter 13 – Noob Husband
by RaineHu Hu attended the evening class with Ying Huaiting.
Hu Hu didn’t want to go since he had already taken a day off, but Ying Huaiting forced him to attend because he needed to maintain his status as an outstanding graduate to receive his permanent diploma after university graduation.
Hu Hu went to class with heavy sighs.
While occasionally zoning out during the lecture, Hu Hu suddenly thought of something! As soon as class ended, he poked Ying Huaiting’s arm. When Ying Huaiting looked at him, Hu Hu glanced around to make sure no one was paying attention, then whispered, “Why are we meeting the parents after getting married? The order is wrong!”
Ying Huaiting responded indifferently, “Because I want to. Besides, why are you acting like this is something shameful?”
Hu Hu had already leaned close to Ying Huaiting’s ear, “Because I don’t want my classmates to know we’re married yet! Ying Huaiting, are you afraid my parents will object?”
Ying Huaiting’s ear tickled. This fox spirit sure was bold.
Seeing that Hu Hu was practically off his chair, Ying Huaiting had to lower his head. Once Hu Hu could reach Ying Huaiting’s ear, he sat back properly and continued whispering, “Your thinking makes sense. I am a fox spirit after all. So many people want to marry a fox spirit but never get the chance. Ying Huaiting, you’re quite smart. Congratulations on getting yourself a super beautiful fox spirit. But I can’t tell my parents about our marriage yet.”
Earlier in the dorm, after Ying Huaiting kissed his fox ears, Hu Hu had been so dazed that he collapsed onto the bed and slept for a while. When he finally recovered, Ying Huaiting dragged him to the cafeteria for dinner and then to the evening class.
So it wasn’t until now that Hu Hu refused to let Ying Huaiting meet his parents.
Ying Huaiting said coldly, “So you’re still being dishonest even after marriage?”
Ying Huaiting didn’t lower his voice, and a male student in front of them immediately turned around with wide eyes.
Hu Hu quickly glared at the student and said righteously, “Ying Huaiting and I are discussing a TV drama. Why are you turning around?”
The student: “…..”
The student silently turned back.
Hu Hu hurriedly leaned close to Ying Huaiting’s ear again, “Of course not! Ying Huaiting, keep your voice down. It’s because I’m a fox spirit. I just came of age and got married, other fox spirits in the clan will mock me!”
“Mock you for what?” Ying Huaiting’s expression remained neutral.
Hu Hu frowned, “You’re not listening carefully. We fox spirits are usually fickle before marriage, but we can’t be after marriage. I just came of age, which should be when I can be fickle, but I got married instead. I have no rich romantic history at all!”
Ying Huaiting’s expression froze for a second before he looked like he was questioning life itself. He also lowered his voice and asked incredulously, “Your fox spirit clan compares romantic histories?”
Hu Hu didn’t give Ying Huaiting a definitive answer, “They probably do. I’m not too sure because I just came of age, and adults don’t discuss adult topics in front of children. So they’ll probably start discussing adult topics with me when I go home for winter break.”
Ying Huaiting: “…..”
Ying Huaiting opened his phone.
The male student suddenly turned around again.
Hu Hu was startled but spoke even more righteously, “What? We’re still discussing the TV drama!”
The student gently reminded him, “Discuss all you want, but Classmate Hu Hu, we’re still in a classroom. Maybe don’t cling to Ying Huaiting so much. Ah, not that there’s anything wrong with it, but the professor is getting old, and I noticed he’s been glancing at you two from the podium.”
Hu Hu looked toward the podium.
The professor, who was holding his thermos, was looking out the window.
Hu Hu moved slightly away from Ying Huaiting and said to the student, “I got it, thanks for letting me know.”
The student smiled sheepishly.
Ying Huaiting suddenly glanced at Hu Hu, who immediately leaned close to him again and said seriously, “Ying Huaiting, the classroom isn’t suitable for this discussion. Let’s talk when we get back to the dorm.”
Then he saw what was on Ying Huaiting’s search page.
It was the Supernatural Network.
The content read: Do fox spirits compare romantic histories?
Answer: They might or might not. Only scummy monsters compare romantic histories. Fox spirits are divided into vulgar fox spirits and proper fox spirits, with no category for scummy fox spirits. If a fox spirit is scummy, they would naturally compare romantic histories.
Hu Hu: “…..”
Hu Hu also looked up at Ying Huaiting, who seemed like he wanted to say something but held back.
Hu Hu snatched Ying Huaiting’s phone and began thoroughly researching fox spirits on Supernatural Network!!
After the second period ended, evening classes were over.
Hu Hu was listless and quiet on the way back. Once in the dorm, he released his fox ears and clingily hugged Ying Huaiting, “Ying Huaiting, it seems fox spirits don’t actually compare romantic histories.”
Ying Huaiting was quite helpless at this point, “So where exactly did you learn all this strange fox spirit knowledge?”
Hu Hu answered honestly, “My fox and dog friends told me.”
Ying Huaiting: “…..With friends like that, you should stop hanging out with them. What kind of knowledge have they been feeding you?”
Hu Hu let go of Ying Huaiting, his fox ears standing tall and alert.
“Are you discriminating against them?”
Ying Huaiting: “Who’s discriminating? Am I the one discriminating or are you—”
Halfway through his sentence, Ying Huaiting seemed to suddenly realize something and asked uncertainly, “Your fox and dog friends… they wouldn’t actually be a fox and a dog, would they?”
Hu Hu responded in confusion, “Yeah, Ying Huaiting, I’m a fox, so of course my friends are foxes and dogs! They’re not bad friends at all, they’re really good! You can’t discriminate against my friends!”
Ying Huaiting: “…Sorry.”
Ying Huaiting quickly expressed his apology to Hu Hu. This time, it was truly his misunderstanding!
Hu Hu’s ears twitched, and his mood improved!
“I don’t blame you! You haven’t met them yet, but when you do, you’ll know they’re really great friends.”
To be honest, Ying Huaiting was quite curious about Hu Hu’s dog friend.
But right now, Ying Huaiting was more concerned about, “Should we tell your parents about our marriage now?”
Hu Hu thought for a moment but still refused, saying carelessly, “Let’s wait until winter break. Maybe everyone in my clan is a scummy fox!”
Ying Huaiting reached out to pinch Hu Hu’s slightly chubby face and said softly, “So you want to be a scummy fox too?”
Hu Hu willingly offered his face to be pinched, “I’m not scummy, I only have eyes for you!”
Ying Huaiting laughed, “What if my yang essence becomes stinky, will you still only have eyes for me?”
Hu Hu’s eyes darted around, and then his ear was flicked. Hu Hu covered his fox ears, mumbling, “Ying Huaiting, I was just thinking. It sounds like you’re asking me if I like you more or your yang essence more!”
Ying Huaiting’s lips twitched, “As expected of an educated fox spirit.”
The educated Hu Hu was proud!
The educated Hu Hu said shyly but sincerely, “Actually, I don’t know, Ying Huaiting, because you just smell so nice. I haven’t met any humans who smell nicer than you, so I haven’t faced that test.”
Previously, Ying Huaiting thought that since his partner was a fickle fox spirit, he would keep a close watch. So even if fickle thoughts arose later, there would be no chance to act on them. But just now, after asking about stinky yang essence, Ying Huaiting realized he couldn’t accept his fox spirit partner having any fickle thoughts at all, absolutely couldn’t accept it.
So he wasn’t very satisfied with Hu Hu’s answer that wasn’t really an answer.
Ying Huaiting leaned against the door and asked directly, “About the previous club president, what would you have done if I didn’t stop you?”
Hu Hu answered honestly, “I would have walked up to him and sniffed a bit. But you didn’t let me.”
Ying Huaiting wasn’t angry about this response and pressed further, “How would you sniff? By getting close to his neck?”
Hu Hu frowned.
Watching Hu Hu’s expression closely, Ying Huaiting continued, “What’s wrong? Isn’t that how fox spirits consume yang essence?”
Hu Hu scratched his face, his fox ears drooping as he shook his head, “Ying Huaiting, that wouldn’t work, it would be too weird. Actually, when fox spirits consume yang essence…”
Hu Hu’s face turned red.
Ying Huaiting had never felt as tense as he did at this moment.
“Actually what?”
Hu Hu walked up to Ying Huaiting and sniffed slightly, “Actually, just standing in front of you like this, I can consume a tiny bit of yang essence, but I want to consume more concentrated yang essence.”
Ying Huaiting asked suspiciously, “So you consumed yang essence before coming of age? Don’t tell me you had no contact with humans before university.”
Hu Hu’s face was red but he spoke righteously, “Yang essence that automatically drifts into my nose doesn’t count! I never paid attention to those scents, that’s not consuming. It’s just air, just air!”
Compared to Hu Hu’s embarrassment, Ying Huaiting appeared completely composed and even asked seriously, “So you only want to take advantage of me?”
Hu Hu: “It’s not taking advantage! I just want to consume the most concentrated yang essence!”
He even used his fox-head attack!
Ying Huaiting pushed away Hu Hu’s head and continued asking, “Would you do this with other people who smell good too?”
About other people…
Hu Hu’s eyes darted around, but finally he hugged Ying Huaiting righteously and took a big sniff at his neck, “Ying Huaiting, we’re married! Don’t ask questions about me cheating on you!”
Ying Huaiting finally laughed softly and hugged the fox spirit in his arms, “So you only take advantage of me, huh.”
Hu Hu’s ears stood straight up, “I don’t! If you keep saying that, I’ll…”
“You’ll what?” Ying Huaiting’s voice was amused.
Hu Hu started taking big sniffs, big sniffs! Big sniff sniff sniff! After sniffing, he looked up fiercely, “I’ll drain you dry! I am a fox spirit!”
As their gazes met, Ying Huaiting directly sealed Hu Hu’s mouth.
Somehow, after being thoroughly devoured by Ying Huaiting several times, Hu Hu lay limply on the bed and heard the human’s wicked voice. “Weren’t you going to drain me dry? Noob fox?”
Hu Hu: “…..”
When he said drain dry, he meant consuming yang essence. Not… not this!
Because he had used up quite a bit of energy, and Ying Huaiting’s words made him hungry, Hu Hu licked his lips, turned his head and said sincerely, “Ying Huaiting, I want 1chicken[/mfn].”
Ying Huaiting: “…..”
“Noob husband, I’m really hungry.”
A vein throbbed on Ying Huaiting’s forehead, but he finally gave in. “I’ll go buy some, just stop with the names.”
Hu Hu was happy!
