MRSSG Chapter 14 – Meeting the Parents (Final Chapter)
by RaineHu Hu followed Ying Huaiting to meet his parents. Ying Huaiting’s house was enormous!
Ying Huaiting’s parents were incredibly nice to Hu Hu. They gave him bracelets and necklaces, which made him so nervous that he didn’t dare say anything, acting like a well-behaved little fox spirit. Ying Huaiting couldn’t help but laugh.
Mother Ying glared at Ying Huaiting.
It wasn’t until evening that Hu Hu was finally released from Mother Ying’s enthusiasm. During this time, she secretly asked him, “Is he mistreating you? Huaiting has quite a temper.”
Hu Hu nodded, “His temper really is bad!”
Mother Ying, who had only asked out of courtesy expecting Hu Hu to say “not at all,” was momentarily stunned.
“H-how does he bully you?”
Hu Hu thought about it. Ying Huaiting wouldn’t let him absorb yang essence whenever he wanted, always told him to mind his image in class, and would spank him despite his protests. But these weren’t things he could tell the elders.
Hu Hu heaved a deep sigh, “I can’t tell you. Huaiting gets angry easily.”
Mother Ying: “…..”
Then Ying Huaiting was called to the study by his mother, with his father following. Only Hu Hu remained in Ying Huaiting’s room, examining the expensive gifts from Mother Ying.
What should he do?
His own parents were quite stingy and would give Ying Huaiting at most a roasted chicken.
Hu Hu felt melancholic.
The melancholic Hu Hu got a light tap on his head from Ying Huaiting, who suddenly came in.
Hu Hu looked up with a grin, “Ying Huaiting, did Mom scold you?”
Ying Huaiting: “…”
[What’s this Huhu complaining about? What’s he plotting? He’s even afraid of making you angry! You’re already married, how can you still bully him?]
Ying Huaiting recalled his mother’s words. This fox definitely did this on purpose.
Ying Huaiting sat on the bed, arms crossed, looking ready to discipline the fox. “Tell me, how exactly did I bully you? Also, the door’s locked.”
Hu Hu’s fox ears instantly popped out, and he perked up at the question.
Hu Hu began listing how Ying Huaiting bullied him.
“You’re always telling me to mind my image in class!” Hu Hu complained, kneeling on the bed with animated gestures.
Speaking of this, Ying Huaiting was speechless. Hu Hu started looking for his own kind in class again!
“I’m worried you’ll get beaten up!” Ying Huaiting said earnestly. “Not everyone has such a good temper as me when you keep sniffing at them.”
Hu Hu gave him a skeptical look. “You? Good temper?”
Ying Huaiting naturally hummed in agreement, reaching out to pinch Hu Hu’s cheek. “Aren’t I good-tempered? If I weren’t, you’d have been in jail the next day.”
Hu Hu: “……”
That was true. He did climb into his bed on the first day.
Hu Hu swatted away Ying Huaiting’s hand and continued counting grievances. “You won’t let me feed on the strongest yang essence. We’re married now, and you’re still so stingy! Are you saving your yang essence for some other fox spirit?”
Ying Huaiting held out his finger.
Hu Hu tilted his head.
“Bite,” said Ying Huaiting.
Hu Hu’s eyes widened. Was he… was he really allowing him to feed?
Hu Hu clasped Ying Huaiting’s wrist with both hands, staring at his finger like a precious treasure. “Are you really letting me feed?” he asked reverently.
Ying Huaiting hummed in agreement.
Hu Hu whined and took Ying Huaiting’s finger into his mouth, sucking on it. He sucked for a while but nothing came out.
Hu Hu released Ying Huaiting’s finger, leaving it glistening with his saliva.
“If I really let you feed, all you do is get my finger covered in drool?” Ying Huaiting said with slight disgust.
Hu Hu: “……”
“There’s no wound. Should I bite?” Hu Hu asked honestly.
Ying Huaiting wiped his finger. “What else?”
Hu Hu’s ears folded back like airplane wings as he mumbled, “I’m not actually a blood-sucking fox, how dare I bite?”
Ying Huaiting pointed at his neck.
“Back then, if I didn’t stop you, you certainly would bite.”
Hu Hu’s eyes lit up, and he pounced on Ying Huaiting, biting his neck and mumbling, “Here then.”
And so—
After a while, Ying Huaiting’s neck started to tingle from Hu Hu’s licking, and he even got hard. Hu Hu kept licking.
“If you don’t want me to eat fox tonight, either bite or let go,” Ying Huaiting reminded him calmly.
Hu Hu let go with a pitiful look.
A spot on Ying Huaiting’s neck was swollen and red. He continued wiping away Hu Hu’s saliva composedly.
“I gave you a chance.”
Hu Hu lay on the bed throwing a tantrum. “I need it ready-made! Ying Huaiting, I want ready-made!”
Ying Huaiting: “……”
Since he decided to satisfy Hu Hu, Ying Huaiting agreed. He went out for a moment, which confused Hu Hu. After a while, Ying Huaiting returned with a fruit knife.
Hu Hu’s eyes widened again.
What did this mean!
Ying Huaiting stood beside Hu Hu and asked, “Which spot’s blood do you want?”
Hu Hu: “……”
Hu Hu’s eyelids trembled. “I-I-I…” His voice stuttered, unable to form a complete sentence.
Ying Huaiting pointed the blade at his finger. “Will the index finger do? You started with that, so stay true to your roots.”
Just as Ying Huaiting was about to press the blade against his finger, Hu Hu snatched away the knife. His fox ears stood straight up as he glared at Ying Huaiting. “Don’t harm yourself!”
Ying Huaiting smiled. “It’s to let you feed.”
Hu Hu: “……”
Hu Hu was almost crying. “I won’t feed anymore, don’t use the knife like that. In the future, when you’re hurt, I’ll be your band-aid and just lick your wounds clean!”
Hu Hu quickly threw the fruit knife far away, afraid Ying Huaiting would try to cut himself again.
Ying Huaiting maintained his composed demeanor. “So am I still bullying you?”
Hu Hu actively nuzzled against Ying Huaiting, his fox ears brushing Ying Huaiting’s chin as he mumbled, “Not anymore. Don’t hurt yourself. It’ll hurt!”
Ying Huaiting’s lips curved upward as he held his distressed little fox.
After Hu Hu calmed down, he raised his head again and said, “But there’s still one thing. You exhaust me every time. You always leave me unable to move afterward. That’s bullying! You can’t explain that away!”
Ying Huaiting nodded. “True.”
Hu Hu righteously lectured Ying Huaiting. “You have to change! Otherwise, I’ll tell your mom you’re bullying me again!”
Ying Huaiting nodded, and Hu Hu was satisfied, but then Ying Huaiting lightly uttered two words, “Won’t change.”
Hu Hu immediately let go of Ying Huaiting, his voice rising considerably. “Won’t change?”
Ying Huaiting said firmly, “Won’t change.”
Hu Hu: “Then I’ll tell your mom!”
Ying Huaiting leaned against the bed, looking completely unbothered. “Go ahead, tell her I do it too much for you to handle. You’re a shameless fox spirit anyway, you won’t be embarrassed telling my mom such things.”
But he would be embarrassed!
He wasn’t a shameless fox spirit! He thought Ying Huaiting was the shameless husband!
Hu Hu got angry! He repeatedly attacked Ying Huaiting with his fox head. “Will you change?”
“No.”
“Will you change!”
“No.”
“Will! You! Change!”
“No.”
“Change—” Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Hu Hu quickly retracted his head and fox ears, sitting obediently at the edge of the bed. Ying Huaiting chuckled and went to open the door.
It was Mother Ying outside.
Mother Ying looked worried. “I heard you two talking about changing or not changing. Are you fighting?”
Ying Huaiting leaned against the doorframe lazily. “Ask him, my words don’t count anyway.”
Hu Hu looked innocent. “Nothing like that.”
“Really?”
Hu Hu said sincerely, “Really.”
Mother Ying carefully looked at both Ying Huaiting and Hu Hu. Only after seeing that they didn’t seem to be fighting did she finally leave.
After she left and Ying Huaiting locked the door, Hu Hu’s ears popped out again as he fell onto the bed, relieved. “That scared me to death!”
Ying Huaiting walked over to tease him. “A shameless fox can get scared?”
Hu Hu sighed. “Ying Huaiting, a human like you would never be accepted into our fox family. Have you forgotten? I only came to your family and got your parents’ approval. But you haven’t gotten my parents’ approval.”
Ying Huaiting: “……”
Ying Huaiting lay beside Hu Hu on the bed, their heads touching. “What do your parents like?”
Hu Hu stared at the ceiling, thinking, “I don’t know, but I’m their precious kit. As for you, they’ll probably ask if you stepped in Yeye’s poop.”
Ying Huaiting hissed, “…Who’s Yeye?”
Hu Hu said generously, “My friend. I’ll take you to meet him next time.”
Ying Huaiting hesitated. “A dog friend?”
Hu Hu hummed and turned his head, saying unhappily, “Ying Huaiting, you can’t question my friend in that tone. It’s very disrespectful to my friend.”
Ying Huaiting was quick to admit his mistake.
“My bad. But Hu Hu, if you want to say step in dog poop1, just say stepped in dog poop. Don’t bring your friend into it.”
Hu Hu was confused. “Why? Yeye is a dog, so you had dog-poop luck. If there was fox-poop luck, it would be from my…”
Ying Huaiting immediately covered Hu Hu’s mouth. “Stop talking, I’m going soft. Can’t you be more civilized?”
Hu Hu blinked quickly, signalling he would be behaved.
Only then did Ying Huaiting release him.
Hu Hu mumbled again, “Ying Huaiting, our family has no class. My parents probably won’t like you.”
Ying Huaiting wasn’t bothered at all by this comment. He flicked Hu Hu’s fox ears, saying confidently, “You’re in charge of figuring out how to make your parents like me.”
Hu Hu pouted, saying nothing.
“After all, being such a clever, beautiful, and loyal fox, surely you can help your husband?”
Hu Hu’s fox ears suddenly stood up. He turned his head and said solemnly, “Husband, leave it to this clever, beautiful, and loyal fox!”
Ying Huaiting was delighted.
Finally, he heard a nice “husband” from him.
