YPSSS Chapter 42
by RaineXie Ji and Xia Shiruan were having a good time alone in the empty private room, while Chen Rongxin and the others were going crazy searching for them on the other side of the wall.
Earlier, he and Shu Jian had downed several more bottles of alcohol while bickering back and forth with “why didn’t you tell me earlier” and “I just found out myself.” Now his drunk mind was getting fuzzy.
By the time they realized everyone had disappeared, it was already 12:10 AM, when the bar was at its liveliest.
This floor was originally reserved for VIP customers only. Today, because it was the eldest young master’s birthday, it wasn’t open to the public. The noise from downstairs faintly drifted up through the stairwell, coating the somewhat quiet floor with a decadent nighttime atmosphere.
Chen Rongxin searched the entire hallway, checking both the Alpha and Beta bathrooms thoroughly. He even poked his head into the Omega bathroom for a few minutes. Finally, he confirmed that Xie Ji really stormed off in anger.
As for Xia Shiruan, he sent him a message an hour ago but received no reply. Who knew where he went.
Chen Rongxin usually held his liquor well, but today he accidentally drank a few bottles too many. Combined with the shock he received, his head was starting to spin.
After searching unsuccessfully for a while, he no longer cared about being noisy. He walked around shouting at the top of his lungs, “Ge! Xiao Ruan-ge! Where did you go? Come out and let me see you!”
Naturally, no one responded.
After shouting a few times, Chen Rongxin found a wall to crouch against, planning to sober up. But just two minutes after sitting down, the door behind him creaked open.
The sound of the door opening was very clear in the quiet floor. Chen Rongxin jumped in fright, instantly sobering up as he blurted out, “Fuck, who’s th-”
The rest of his words never made it out, quickly muffled by a hand that covered his mouth.
Chen Rongxin made eye contact with the person covering his mouth and widened his eyes in shock.
Why was Xie Ji here?!
Just that series of movements, from opening the door to covering his mouth, seemed too perfectly timed to be coincidental.
After making eye contact for a few seconds, Chen Rongxin watched as Xie Ji stared at him, raised a finger to his lips in a “shh” gesture, and pointed at his head.
Chen Rongxin nodded vigorously with muffled sounds, indicating he understood and absolutely wouldn’t make a noise.
Xie Ji slowly let him go, then wiped the hand that covered Chen Rongxin’s mouth on Chen Rongxin’s clothes.
“…”
After everything that happened tonight, for some reason, when Chen Rongxin saw Xie Ji’s disgusted gesture again, he felt it wasn’t so hard to accept anymore.
Chen Rongxin blanked for a second before coming back to his senses. He lowered his voice to a whisper, “Ge, why are you here? I’ve been looking everywhere for you. I thought you left…”
“I didn’t leave.” Xie Ji glanced back into the room once before turning back to ask, “Are there any guest rooms upstairs? Save one for me.”
“Should be. I’ll get you a key card in a bit… You’re not leaving today?”
Xie Ji grunted in agreement and was about to shoo him away when Chen Rongxin quickly blocked him, saying, “By the way, almost everyone’s gone already. Fatty also took Su- that person back to the hotel. But Fatty just asked me to check if you’re still angry. If you are, he said next time he’s back he’ll personally come let you punch him, and he won’t fight back.”
After saying this, Chen Rongxin carefully watched Xie Ji’s expression, trying to gauge his reaction to report back to Shu Jian.
But why did he feel that his brother’s face showed no trace of anger? Instead, he seemed… rather happy?
Pushing down his questions, Chen Rongxin remembered another thing. Where did the other main character of today’s dramatic showdown go, and was all this actually true?
Although Pei Hu had sworn on it when he told them, and Chen Rongxin’s own observations made it seem about right, he still wanted to confirm with the person himself.
Xie Ji snorted softly. “Forget about sending him over for me to punch. Let him rest and clear his head when he has time.”
Seeing Xie Ji’s attitude, Chen Rongxin felt relieved. Seizing the opportunity, he asked, “By the way, Ge, did Xiao Ruan-ge… say anything before he left?”
Seeing Xie Ji’s questioning look, he explained, “He went out earlier, and I couldn’t find him anywhere just now. He’s not answering messages either. He’s an Omega out at night, I’m a bit worried…”
“You don’t need to worry about him,” Xie Ji said mercilessly, then paused and pointed inside the private room: “He’s inside, sleeping.”
Chen Rongxin’s expression quickly went from one question mark to two, but Xie Ji had no intention of explaining further.
He and Xia Shiruan had kissed for a while, talked for a bit, and then just quietly held each other until Xia Shiruan fell asleep.
It was indeed Xia Shiruan’s usual bedtime, but the fact that he could fall asleep in tonight’s situation both irritated and amused Xie Ji. He didn’t want to wake him up though. He already heard too many rare words from Xia Shiruan’s mouth tonight and saw too many rare expressions on his face. It was enough to keep Xie Ji content for quite a while.
Then he heard Chen Rongxin screaming outside, and worried he’d wake Xia Shiruan, so he opened the door to catch him.
Chen Rongxin couldn’t help asking, “Why are you in there? And… he’s in there too?”
“How is that any of your business?” Xie Ji countered, then immediately tried to shoo him away. “Are you leaving or not? Go get the key card.”
“…?”
Chen Rongxin’s expression could no longer be described with simple question marks.
He felt there was no need to ask anything else.
So for these two hours since Xie Ji left, these two had been staying here?? What had they been doing?
These two hours??
Although Chen Rongxin was a virgin, he wasn’t completely ignorant. His mind instantly went wild with possibilities.
His face showed a variety of expressions as he thought – but no, if they had really done that, Xia Shiruan’s Omega pheromone scent couldn’t possibly be covered up, right?
Just as Xie Ji was about to enter the private room, he looked back to see Chen Rongxin still standing there with an expression that clearly showed he wasn’t thinking anything decent.
“Clean up whatever’s in your mind,” Xie Ji said, “What can you do on a sofa? What are you thinking?”
“…” Chen Rongxin calmed himself, then his brain short-circuited and he asked another pointless question, “So… for the guest rooms upstairs, how many should I book for you?”
Xie Ji gave him a look.
“One room is enough.”
“Okay.”
Xie Ji returned to the private room to find Xia Shiruan sleeping soundly on the sofa.
The bar’s heating was strong enough that even a single layer didn’t feel cold.
Xia Shiruan wore only a loose white sweater. As he lay there, his cheeks still held a faint pink tinge, and his small, delicate nostrils fluttered slightly, like some small animal.
Even Chen Rongxin’s noise outside didn’t wake him up. He looked genuinely unafraid, completely at ease.
Xie Ji stood in front of the sofa watching him for a while, then reached out to poke his soft cheek. It was like touching a cloud, sinking in at the slightest pressure.
Amused, Xie Ji couldn’t help poking several more times.
The sleeping person finally showed a slight reaction to his touch. His eyelids twitched as he began to wake up.
Xie Ji quickly wiped what might have been a foolish smile from his face, pretending he hadn’t been the one touching him. He put on a serious expression and said softly, “Xia Shiruan, are you planning to sleep here all night?”
Xia Shiruan opened his drowsy eyes, blinked, and seeing the handsome face suddenly so close to his, was at a loss for words for several seconds.
He had actually fallen asleep just like that.
But Xie Ji’s scent was too comfortable, too soothing. Xia Shiruan suspected that every time he couldn’t resist hugging him, his only goal was to fall asleep beside him.
“What time is it?” Xia Shiruan asked.
Xie Ji said “twelve-thirty,” then asked, “Xia Shiruan, do you remember what you said earlier?” He reminded him, “An hour ago.”
Xia Shiruan looked at him for a long while, then said in that soft, sleepy voice, “I remember. I said I like you.”
Xie Ji paused, then said, “That’s good.”
He bent down and lifted him completely off the sofa. “I had Xiao Xin book a room upstairs. It’s late, we’ll go back tomorrow.”
Xia Shiruan still remembered what he said, so this wasn’t just another absurd dream, Xie Ji thought.
Xia Shiruan made a soft sound of agreement, didn’t say anything to refuse, and let himself be carried. He obediently buried his head in Xie Ji’s collar and said slowly, “Then we’ll go back tomorrow.”
Xie Ji caught sight of the exposed stretch of his neck, white and slender. The skin looked so thin and delicate it might break at a touch.
He felt an unusual flutter of panic and quickly averted his gaze.
Xie Ji heard his own heartbeat against the other’s body, growing louder with each beat.
Even a dream couldn’t be better than this.
Author’s Note:
By the way, going back tomorrow just means borrowing a bed to sleep for one night, nothing else will happen, at most just some kissing
